“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”

Quality mental healthcare informed by research

We are a group of psychologists who are experienced in college mental health. Our services are informed by research on college mental health, developmental characteristics and needs of emerging adulthood (ages 18-29), trauma-informed approach, and sociocultural issues in mental health. We assist our clients by providing individual therapy, group therapy, and career services.

We provide committed and compassionate mental health care to empower undergraduate and graduate students.

Commitment

Our team consists of clinicians who are committed to college mental health. Our clinicians have extensive experience in working with college students. We recognize the unique challenges of being a college student and accordingly utilize interventions that are informed by research. We are also committed to provide care to diverse groups of students and acknowledge the sociocultural issues informing their mental health.

Compassion

In our practice, compassion and humility are our core values. We deeply respect the unique and diverse experiences of our clients, while acknowledging the commonality of emotional pain. We strive to provide compassionate care that will instill compassion for self and others. We believe compassion paves the road to healing.

Empowerment

We emphasize the resilience and strength of our clients. Our trauma-informed approach focuses on eliciting client’s internal resources and facilitating them in discovering/re-discovering their agency. We believe in the capacity of our clients to initiate growth and change. Our client-centered approach emphasizes their active engagement in the therapy process and seeks ongoing feedback and input.
